There are so many wonderful varieties of cheese to enjoy and the best way to do this is to serve a selection of fine cheeses together with biscuits, fruit and a fine dessert wine.

Colour Your Moods

We love our scented candles and as a way of presenting them in a different manner we will be showing them by colour and by mood

It will be interesting if this changes the way customers buy our candles....I'll let you know how we do.

Character chopping boards

We always try to look for products that are different. Maybe unusual designs or something different to the norm and in keeping with this Pamela has added the 'On the Farm' series of wooden chopping boards to our worktop savers category.
Made by Wireworks, there are four funky farm animal cutting boards made from solid beech

Records and PR go together

Yesterday hit a new record for orders and what a record it was -60 orders in one day!
We have been steadily building our presence, products on offer etc but the cream on the cake has been some amazing PR with something like 10 magazines all featuring us in the last few weeks but the star was the Sunday Mirror that featured our funky high heel cake servers.

At last we've hit a new record - 33 orders taken on 16th November
Sales have been great this month coming close so many times before finally going past the old record yesterday.
This has been helped by some great PR for our funky high heel cake servers!

We've completed the showerdrape range of country style bathroom cabinets.
Made from white painted MDF, they come as single and double door bathroom cabinets with matching floor standing cabinet and large laundry hamper

Webwindows Rip Off

We thought we would try some online advertising and were stupid enough to try webwindows who claimed that our ads would feature in the guardian and independent websites.
What a mistake!

J-Me are an award winning team renowned for their unusual and unique designs.
Founded in 2000 by brother Jamie & Mark, their products range from unusual home accessories to cool novelty gifts
We particularly love their tape dispenser, a brilliant design in the form of the classic cassette tape.

Ziggiziggi goes own brand on scented candles
New for September 2010, Ziggiziggi are delighted to introduce their first collection of own branded scented candles.
Packed in black gift boxes, the ziggiziggi scented candle collection is available in three wonderful fragrances chosen by our in house designers and produced exclusively for us by Stoneglow candles.

Organising our bathroom cabinets

Our bathroom cabinet category had become a bit unwieldy with a mix of products laid out over 3 pages and in no particular order
We've cleaned this up by creating 4 new sub-categories: white bathroom cabinets, wooden cabinets, metal cabinets and medicine cabinets.
The hard part was reassigning every product to its new nominated category!

Autumn Fair 2010

We went to the autumn fair on Sunday and found lots of exciting ranges:
We weren't planning to do any more scented candles but we found a California based company called Voluspa who make the most amazing scented candles available in exquisite and unusual packaging.
We found a lovely children's toy company making furniture, dolls houses etc.
Other companies for consideration include 'Salt & Pepper' desugner tableware and 'J & Me' contemporary living accessories who are in the same office as Black + Blum, another funky favourite of ours.
There are too many more to mention but watch this space - it will be interesting to see how many new suppliers will be showing in the next few months.

Ziggi's own range of scented candles

Our first venture into own branded products arrives very soon so slightly ahead of normal, we have already set up the new category in anticipation of the Ziggiziggi scented candle collection
We're really excited about this one!

Commercial Bathroom Accessories

To further enhance the ranges of bathroom accessories that we offer to the hotel and commercial markets, we have added the urban range of soap dispensers by Gedy of Italy.
Made from polished stainless steel, their heavy duty construction makes them ideal for hotels, health clubs or commercial buildings.

A New Record

Yes!!!
A new sales record. We had 31 orders today so at long last we have beaten last November's record.
We've gone close a few times and finally we're there.

Will it or won't it?

Is it going to be a new record today?
I'ts 10pm, I'm exhausted and I'm going to bed now so I won't know until tomorrow.
Up till now there have been 26 orders, mostly for loads of bathroom accessories and glassware products but very little else.

Own Brand Scented Candles

We've just received the labels for our own brand range of unique scented candles and they look absolutely fantastic.
It's been a long time coming but when you see and smell the candles it'll have been worth the wait!

Shower caddies

Shower caddies are more and more popular so to meet demand we've added the Arlington shower caddy by Showerdrape.
It is a premium level caddy being made from polished stainless steel and means we now offer a choice of 3 caddies designed specifically for cubicles

Martini Martini

To make it easier, we've created a dedicated Martini glasses section.
Although martini glasses can be found in the stemware section, this makes it easier for anyone specifically looking for Martini glasses - and our analytics shows that a lot of people do look for them!

Pamela has added 3 new cake servers to the cake plate and serving category.
Latest additions are the Princess, Cinderella and Dorothy themed cake slices.

Sometimes a simple, straighforward cabinet is all you need to tidy up your bathroom.
Our new simple white bathroom cabinet fits the bill perfectly. It is a no nonsense white painted cabinet with hinged mirror door competetively priced for anyone who wants a quality bathroom cabinet without breaking the bank.

Place Settings

We are filling gaps in our dining table ranges with the introduction of a category containing placemats, coasters and serving trays.
Available as complete coordinated ranges, they will add the finishing touch to any table setting.

New Scented Candles

We've rearranged the look of the scented candle category and it definitely looks nicer with a more upmarket feel.
Shortly being added to the range are new scented candle and fragrance diffusers from Heyland & Whittle together with our first own brand scented candles in three classic fragrances - Pamela won't launch them until all the packaging details are 100% right!

Living Room Chic

Creating a fun, designer look should be easy with the chic new living room category that Pamela has just added. There's something for everyone with ideas ranging from funky bookends through to the amazing Time Square memo board made by Black + Blum

Interesting Interesting!

More visitor records being broken and sales conversion rates have increased by over 40% in the last month.
I've pushed through a number of changes to the site which I thought would work well but the increase has exceeded my wildest expectations.

Records and Changes

It's been a month of record visitor numbers with a new record hit on 7th July which I think is the result of our new e-mail marketing campaign
Pamela has made a major change introducing our new living zone which starts with vases and photograph frames and will grow to include many new living room accessories.
Hopefully this takes us to even higher levels in the future

What's Happening?

There's been a sudden burst of activity taking place this month with ziggiziggi adding new living accessories from 2 new suppliers: Pulpo and Black + Blum. These will be available in July

In addition we have taken our first foray into own branded products with Ziggiziggi's exclusive new scented candles collection coming soon available in 3 fragrances

All hooked up

It's not deliberate but we've yet again extended the bathroom accessories offer with a new category of quirky robe hooks, ideal for robes as well as flannels, towels and much more.
Designs include jewels, zebras and little bunnies along with normal boring chrome fittings.
You'd almost think this is all we do!

Very British Tableware

We've just launched some great new British tableware from Poole Pottery and Royal Stafford.
The ranges launched are 'fish & chips' - a complete collection that would do Harry Ramsden proud - it even includes a bowl for mushy peas.
Another new range is the retro Brittania range. A cool funky range made by Royal Stafford for a great British breakfast!

Quirky Bliss

We love Bliss for their collections of unusual and slightly off the wall products.
We've added an assortment of products including shower curtains, bathroom storage towers and sink mats to help protect kitchen sinks

Floor standing candle holders

New to Ziggiziggi and new to the UK are the stunning Royal floorstanding candle holders made by Aristo of Denmark.
These beautiful centrepieces are made from hand made wrought iron combined with polished copper to produce amazing works of art.

Coloured Washing Up Bowls

Washing up doesn't have to be boring. new to ziggiziggi are a collection of coloured silicone washing up bowls designed to bring colour and style to your kitchen whilst protecting stainless steel sinks.
And they even have a plug to make emptying simple and splash free!

Bathroom accessories redefined

Our freestanding bathroom accessories category was getting so unwieldy it ran to nearly six pages.
Pamela has reorganised it to now show five sub-categories: coloured bathroom accessories which itself has grown and expanded, bamboo accessories, chrome accessoires, bathroom scales (a new category) and porcelain accessory sets.

Site Changes

We've had a major upgrade with the addition of 'shop by colour' categories. These allow customers to select products solely by colour and coordinate their entire home. The new colour categories include red, blue, green, pink,purple and black.

Coram Shower Screens

Yet again we've extended the bathroom section and we are delighted to now offer a great range of premium overbath shower screens proudly made in the UK by Coram.
They offer a great delivery service with delivery often made the day after receipt of order

Cloakroom Accessories

To compliment the designer cloakroom basins and taps we have added a small range of freestanding accessories including the Jasmine six piece cloakroom accessory collection which is made from fine white porcelain and is ideal for both cloakrooms and bathrooms

Vanity Table Mirrors

We realised that our range of table mirrors was not big enough so we have added new mirrors from Showerdrape to our choice of products on offer

Colours in the bathroom

Colour coordinated bathroom accessories have been one of our fastest growing areas and our range has been extended to now include bright orange, citrus green, black, white and purple with vibrant new blues coming soon.
The ranges are designed to coordinate freestanding coloured bathroom accessories together with matching coloured bins and toilet brushes
Colours are one of the easiest ways to transform a simple white bathroom or cloakroom quickly and cost effectively!

New Solid Wood Bathroom Furniture

We've added natural oak to our solid wood bathroom furniture ranges and now offer 3 different finishes: Natural oak, Dark oak and coffee coloured natural bamboo

It's been our biggest day yet thanks to a fantastic order for bathroom accessories for the new Coniston hotel in Kent

A brief update

Pamela has been rather busy of late, where do we start?
We've added loads to our dining tableware including tableware by LSA together with the Melon and Feather edge designs by BIA and my favourite: the silly but irresistable chicken feet breakfast tableware collection.
Also expanded are the amazing childrens playhouses and tents by Wingreen with the addition of the boat house and fairy cottage ranges

Designer Radiators

We've just launched the fabulous range of polished chrome designer radiators by Reina of Turkey.
They look so good we almost want it to get cold again!

Funky Bath & Shower Mats

As we try to be different, we have selected some funky and unusually designed bath and shower mats from the Spirella collection.
They are due in mid March and initial orders look very encouraging

Childrens Play Tents

We've added the amazing range of playtents, wigwams and matching accessories produced by wingreen.
These are everything we feel ziggiziggi represents. They are classic, timeless, beautifully made and reflect the values that any good product should have.

Do adwords work?

You always hear different opinions about adwords so when we started using them we were worried that this was money down the pan but I have been very pleasantly surprised.
We have been receiving many more orders for bathroom accessories than before and it is noticeable that the sizes and value of the orders has noticeably increased with more expensive products such as bathroom cabinets and mirrors selling very well.
We'll keep going with all the other marketing tools but right now it is clear that adwords is a worthwhile addition to our sales promotion.

Great PR

Joseph (our PR man) has done a great job getting us featured in Good Housekeeping for our fab IVV glass bowls and he has also got the arc towel rack featured in 'Your Home' magazine.
Great PR......well done Joseph!

Spring Fair 2010

We visited the Spring Fair in Birmingham today, a chance to catch up on suppliers old and new.
Ideas that we hope to introduce are 'egg' breakfast tableware and white dining tableware by DRH, wicker and wood bathroom storage units.
Other products of note were the scented candle range by Shearer candles

Cloakrooms

Bathrooms just keep on growing with the addition of a new cloakroom category. Products include the fantastic Clou range of cloakroom basins, recommended taps and luxury chrome bottle traps.

Spirella Shower Curtains

We've launched our Spirella collection. Initially the product range features 9 fantastic shower curtains together with Big Jack - a real stick on character for holding robes, flannels etc

Paris

We went to the 'masion et objet' exhibition in Paris last week and boy have we got some great stuff for ziggiziggi!
New products that we hope to bring onboard include crazy stick on cut metal bathroom fittings, stunning indoor fruit art, kids wendy houses and zany furniture that looks a million dollars, costs thousands and takes weeks to be delivered!

We've added the upmarket Baltimore range of MDF cabinets to our bathroom cabinet ranges. They are available in a matt white or veneered wenge wood finish in both floor and wall mounted options

Time Flies

I can't believe I've left it so long to blog again. Anyway another year and it's so true that time flies.
We had a really good Christmas and orders held up over the holiday period.
Meanwhile we've been busy continuing to expand the bathroom accessory side with more bathroom cabinets, new fun bath and shower mats plus the stylish new infinity and kube wall fitted bathroom accessories
