What's new for January

Everyone's already in Christmas mode.
I guess the break will be needed because January brings a lot of new products and suppliers
We'll be introducing Umbra - suppliers of designer kitchen and bathroom accessories and Lloyd Pascal - suppliers of no nonsense value for money bathroom accessories
As well as these new suppliers, we've got some great new shower additions from Ridder
It's going to be a busy January!

We've gone soft

We've gone soft now that Pamela had added a great new range of home cushions
Using talented young designers, the Graduate Collection is an amazing collection of cushions and soft furnishings with a style that will grace any home
We love them and love the fact that this is a great way of nurturing young talent

Sparkly Lighting

We've just added the funky 'Josephine' ceiling lamps by Koziol to our living category.

Although they are made from plastic (albeit very high quality) their unique design creates the look and sparkle of real crystal.

A more traditional Christmas

Maybe it's because the world feels uneasy at the moment, but it seems that people are going back to more traditional gifts and presents for Christmas.
As a result, we've seen more interest in traditional toys this year - an area we really enjoy (well you can't not enjoy toys!)

The worst thing about a holiday

We've just had a fab week on holiday in Florida, taking it easy and relaxing in the sun
The worst thing about a holiday though is coming home and knowing there's a mass of jobs waiting to be done
We've got a number of new bathroom suppliers waiting to be added to ziggiziggi
Guess we'll be busy (and a bit stressed) next week!

Going for a walk

Now that we've moved to our new location in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, I love popping out the office for a quick break

It's great to de-stress and sometimes (not that often) a great new idea hits me

Replacement colour toilet seats

We like to think that Ziggiziggi is a modern, cutting edge retailer supplying the latest designs and fashions but sometimes you have to offer old products as a service to your customers
Our discontinued colour toilet seats are just such an item, providing a decent replacement for anyone needing to replace their traditional sanitary colour seats
Following a number of enquiries we have added today whisper pink, pergamon and wild sage to the other colours already available

Back to beauty

We have concentrated so much on kitchens and bathrooms that we have almost forgotten about our bath and beauty ranges.
Pamela has chosen some lovely new gifts from Heyland & Whittle including soaps, bath melts, Gift boxes and fragrances

Does someone know something we don't?

We know our cheese graters are a little bit different (as that's how we like to be) but all of a sudden demand for the hedghog cheese graters has gone mad

There's always room for improvement

Whilst doing a quick check of the site I noticed that the bathroom cabinet section had not been properly optimised.
Keywords and metatags had not been done which is one of the most real basic mistakes
Anyway.......it's been corrected now - let's hope it adds to our visitor numbers and visibility

Pamela has ordered the new collection of Confetti coloured shower curtains from Zone of Denmark
Made from luxury polyester, they come in a checkered design available in 6 colours (and she has ordered them all)

Our latest supplier

We will shortly be introducing products from Ridder of Germany. We found them at the ISH exhibition in Frankfurt and loved their ranges of shower curtains, bath mats and 'nature' bamboo bathroom fittings
All being well they should be available to Ziggiziggi customers by the end of September

On the go again

We've been busy the lasy few months with us moving office, relocating to a new warehouse and changing hands.
We are now part of Hart Home Interiors, a cool new company specialising in on line retailing.

A better class of Sale

We've reorganised the sale category and broken it down into four seperate sub-categories
It looks so much better and is now clearly organised (well it was a bit of a mess before)

Wooden accessories finally

We do lots of different bathroom accessories but up till now have never offered wooden wall mounted accessories.
We've finally changed this with the introduction of the Wireworks range of spa style wall mounted accessories available in natural or dark oak and coffee coloured bamboo finishes.

Playing to the gallery

Just added a couple of very elegant bathroom shelf units with a stylish gallery featured on each glass shelf.
Normally gallery shelf units tend to be quite traditional in design but the ones we have chosen are modern yet would still look good in any traditional bathroom

A well needed tidy up

As we've grown our categories have mushroomed and become a bit unwieldy making it hard to find some sections and visually making the site a little difficult to navigate.
We've re-organised the categories and consolidated some of the smaller categories into the bigger ones making navigation much easier.

We've added a new banner to the homepage that transforms the look of Ziggiziggi.
Gary (our brilliant designer) has created 5 banners to be rotated each week with the plan being that each time someone visits, they are greeted by a different look and feel to the site.

It's Fathers Day (again)

Time moves so quickly and fatgers day is coming next month so we have just added to the Ziggiziggi homepage a new 'fathers day' category full of design led gifts and presents

What's New?

Everything goes quiet for ages and then suddenly all hell breaks out in the Ziggiziggi office. We've added so many brilliant new things today that I don't know where to start but here goes:FlexiEdge chopping boards are innovative chopping boards with a flexible edge, carrying handle and are colour matched to our other kitchen accessories
Limed Oak is the hot new colour in bathrooms and just launched are the wood veneered limed oak range of wall cabinets and matching floor storage units by Showerdrape
Koziol of Germany have always been at the leading edge of design and their latest additions are no exception. We have selected a number of new products including their stunning new chopping boards but the product we all love is the hedgehog cheese grater

We've been debating whether we should have a childrens' bathrooms category and finally, after much discussion between Pamela, myself and Joseph (our brilliant marketing and PR guru) we have gone ahead.
The childrens' bathrooms section offers all our best selling favourites ranging from brightly coloured shower curtains to matching mats, toilet brushes and even little ducks.

Busy Busy

Sometimes we end up being so busy you forget to do things. I guess my lack of blogging is a case in point. We have been developing our facebook page, refining the official ziggiziggi blog and adding features of interest. We all feel really pleased with the way its started but there'll be loads more - special offers, facebook exclusives, guest writers etc....

Shower curtains for everyone

We've all been busy with Pamela adding masses of funky shower curtains with designs ranging from giant tulips to the cutest penguins and colourful tropical fish.
Ziggiziggi now offers one of the largest ranges of shower curtains in the UK.

Meanwhile I visited the e-commerce expo at Earls Court today looking for new ideas to market Ziggiziggi. I've loads of ideas to pursue but what I learnt today is just how much I don't know!
Gary (our brilliant designer) is working on a new 'designer' led blog aimed at inspiring our visitors with thoughts, designs and ideas - hopefully it will be up and running in the next few weeks.

Curvy bathroom accessories

We've added the curve range of bathroom accessories to our collection of wall fitted bathroom accessories.
Made from chrome plated zinc alloy, they are easy to fit using concealed backplate fixings and have a smooth curvy design that looks totally at home in any modern bathroom.

Cute Children's Storage

We fell in love with the Habasco children's storage ranges finished with the cutest little elephants and dogs.

Ideal for storing toys, toiletries, bathtime essentials and much more they look amazing in any kids bedroom or bathroom.

Boring but necessary

We love funky, design led products but sometimes you have to offer products that you don't like.
After quite a few requests (and much deliberation on our part) we decided to offer coloured toilet seats in the most popular sanitaryware colours that were sold in the UK including Avocado, Pampas and Champagne.
These aren't the kind of products to excite us but sometimes you have to offer products that are boring but necessary!

Kitchen sinks are normally pretty dull but not when you go for ultra modern cutting edge designs.

We've gone for just that with the addition of the Zen range of designer sinks by the 1810 company - sharp angled, linear sinks that will look amazing in any kitchen setting!
